Satiate your senses in the sanctuary of The Purple Crayon Center for Learning and Social Innovation—a unique space designed to transform performance into experience.
Recently, this historic church building underwent a huge renovation to restore its glory. The spacious, beautiful, and welcoming venue is a flexible event space that fits 150 fully seated, 290 fully standing, or any combination of the two. The performance space is acoustically engineered with superb sight lines, crystal clear sound, and top of the line sound and lighting equipment.
Enjoy the show up close and personal from your seat, lounge on one of the gorgeous armchairs or couches, or even sit with your partner on the centuries-old wooden swing. Or if the mood strikes, kick up your heels on our hard wood dance floor.
The stage is a spacious 23’x17’ raised platform with all hard wood floors.
Seating
Seating for all shows is general admission unless otherwise noted, and includes some standing room.
Bar
Beer, wine, sodas and snacks are standard for all shows. Catered hot food will be served in some events as advertised
Directions
By Car
Saw Mill Parkway, to Farragut Parkway Exit. Left at the first light onto Main St. 52 is on your left.
By Train
MetroNorth Hudson Line line to station stop Hastings-on-Hudson. Walk away from the river up the hill, through the parking lot, up the stairs, and through the smaller parking lot to get to Main St. Continue uphill onto Main St; 52 is on your right just past the fire station.

Paid and unpaid street parking around the building or municipal parking down the street on Main St. Also free street parking on Farragut Parkway after 6 and on Sundays.

Recording Studio
Taking advantage of the great acoustics of TPC venue, the stage and entire performance space is available as a recording studio. Isolated control room and vocal booth. The warm colors and homey vibe let the creativity flow. As one happy client said: “It’s like I’m playing in someone’s giant living room.”
Mic signals are split separately to enable proper multi track recording of live events.

Protools 9.0, Lynx AD/DA converters, Triton Toft Audio 24ch analog mixer, API and Focusright preamps, Dtar active DI, TC Electronics rackmounted digital effects, Steinway 1927 classic M - grand piano. (gorgeous warm sound - excellent condition), Yamaha Stage Custom all Birch drum set (BYO cymbals).
